Celebrate. Explore. Create

Join us for a Living Colour Extended - Power of Prayer

As Advent begins, set aside some time to gather with others and pause. Recognise how we can move and dance in prayer and across Advent. Prayer has the ablity to involve God in our daily lives, and through the use of dance and movement we will explore and create some very special prayers together. We want to celebrate Advent and the power of prayer and invite you to join us on this adventure.

The session is most suitable for over 11s, young people and adults. We'll look into the phrase 'prayer can be the internal voice that directs the external action.' We'll visit The Lords Prayer as a stimulus, creating movement to Bible verses and building a dance together. There'll be opportunities to dance in groups and individually. No prior experience is necessary.

We will share a light dinner together half way through. A time to chat and have fellowship together before continuing our dancing. Please make sure you put any allergies or dietary requirements on the booking form.

What level is it?

This is a Open level workshop day. Suitable for all ages.

It involves both soaking and training meaning that it is both suitable for those with little or no experience of dance and movement and those that have been moving and dancing a while. Predominantly the aim will be to get you moving and exploring your faith - soaking - but there will also be some dance techinique touched upon to help you move effectively.
