I am so excited to share with you information about the UC Grace Church Blessing Tour. I’ll give you the basic low down here. If you then download the welcome pack for more information or pop me an email I will be happy to help you!
Movement is a natural language for me which I use to express my communication with God and lay down my heart to Jesus. God designed each one of us to experience movement in some way right from the beginning where we read in Genesis 1:2 that the ‘Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.’ An acknowledgement of how God is dynamic and how the movement of his presence is the essence of who we are.
The essence of the UC Grace Church Blessing Tour is about stepping into the physical church space and intentionally using movement to bless and pray for the people, activities and God’s heart.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’
God’s desire is for us to be in conversation with him, the Church Blessing Tour is an opportunity to experience and try a different way of conversation with God through movement and dance.
Church Blessing Tour Vision
To empower churches to understand the power of movement prayers in a congregational space. Creating a rhythm of worship and prayer that can be entered into individually and corporately.
Church Blessing Tour Mission
To build confidence in recognising the power there is in simple intentional movement in places of worship. Creating a pattern or rhythm that can be replicated in further times of intentional movement blessings.
Your Church, your aims
Although I would bring all my skills and expertise to deliver a session that is guaranteed to encounter the Holy Spirit and be led by God, it is as important to know as a church what your heart is. Some of the struggles, the places of praise and areas that are always prayed for. Knowing this helps me to shape the workshop so it’s relevant to you. This means that although Church Tour Blessing visits may have a specific thread running through them, they will each be unique to the church and space that is visited.
The standard length for a workshop is 90 minutes. If you would like something longer that is possible, please be clear when you are booking. It’s sometimes good to encourage a time of talking and reflection either before or after the workshop where refreshments could be available if needed.
