Saturday 9th February
Weydon Christian Centre, Upper Way, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 8RL
Would you like to try out using resources during dancing? Have you had a go but would like a bit more direction about what and how to move? Never used them but would like to have a go?
Join us for a day of exploration looking at how we can use flags, ribbons and material during our dance and movement. We’ll touch on the basics of holding the resources, and specific technique that will enable you to move smoother. There will also be the chance for you to generate your own choreography working individually and in groups.
When – Saturday 9th February 2019
Where – Weydon Christian Centre, Upper Way, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 8RL
Time – 1200 – 1600
Cost - £20 (£25 on the door)
Whose it for?
Men, women and young people. Under 11s are welcome, but would need to be accompanied by an adult and have a good level of understanding of the Christian Faith.
What level is it?
This course is our Level One/ Open level course.
That involves both soaking and training meaning that it is both suitable for those with little or no experience of dance and movement and those that have been moving and dancing a while. Predominantly the aim will be to get you moving and exploring your faith - soaking - but there will also be some dance techinique touched upon to help you move effectively.
This course is a great chance to build a firm foundation about why we dance, leading from the heart. Something that is always good to revisit even if you've been dancing a while. All participants will receive a certificate.
