"Everyday people are the movers and shakers. They are the ones who bear testimony to the great events."
uC Grace is an intergenerational dance movement that seeks to release children, young people and adults, to both learn and share about their everyday experiences and their journey of faith through dance.
Working across a variety of settings we aim to:
- Explore dance in a fun, creative, safe and professional environment.
- Be an ambassador and communicator of the Christian Faith.
- Be open and accessible to all.
Three key things that help for these aims to be met is uC Grace's desire to encourage, grow and release each participant it works with, enabling them to succeed in what they want to do most, be it in dance or anything else.
Dance is an activity that can communicate not only across the generations but also across cultural, historical and faith boundaries. It allows both individual and corporate interpretation of what maybe happening around us in the past, present and future.
Dancing with uC Grace is about encouraging children, young people and adults to grow in their self-esteem, beliefs, accomplishments, and many other skills; releasing them to live their life in a way that they want too and will be of value to them.
This philosophy includes the desire to train and equip other people to be able to go out and deliver dance in churches, schools and communities with confidence and knowledge in what they do, with uC Grace able to provide support and advice when needed.
uC Grace believes it is important for children, young people and adults to be provided with opportunities to explore faith in different ways, and by using the medium of dance and movement further channels of understanding can be opened up.
