Connecting, enhancing and developing, dance and movement in the UK Education Sector.

Our education work connects across the spectrum of school years, including the foundation stage through to A Level and teachers. The work we do is done in a variety of ways, tailoring sessions to fit the school's needs, and getting alongside teachers to develop their skills and expertise in dance as necessary. All abilities and ages are welcome in any workshop we run.

Workshops will usually consists of most, if not all of the following -

  • Games and ice breakers (dependant on age group)
  • Structured warm up (with a contemporary base for older ones)
  • Specific development exercises around the theme
  • Group and individual work
  • Improvisation
  • Taught choreography and group choreography (they design movements themselves).

Please get in touch for a comprehensive list of previous workshops delivered. All workshops can be adapted for any age group and converted into an INSET session or resource card for teachers if they wish to have it. We can come in and work with you over a period of weeks, a series of intensive days, or a one off.

"Between 2010 - 2013 uC Grace have planned and led dance sessions in several schools in Guildford Diocese with the specific aim of preparing a worship dance for large numbers of Year 6 pupils at the end of their primary school careers and moving on to secondary school. These dances have been colourful, dramatic and moving contributions to the Year 6 Leavers’ services held annually in Guildford Cathedral."
